The spring where the mermaids swim: since 1947, women in tails have performed underwater ballet in the crystal water of this deep spring through a glass theater set into the bank, breathing from hidden air hoses. It is gloriously, genuinely old Florida, a state park now, and the spring itself is one of the deepest known.
