A plain house at 508 North Second Street in Atchison, built for the family of Dr. Charles Finney. The legend says a six-year-old named Sallie was carried in with appendicitis and died on the doctor’s table; the house plan does not really fit the surgery the story needs. The reports turned darker after a young couple rented it in the early 1990s: fires, scratches, a husband attacked. Nobody has lived there since.
