A real, century-old unexplained light on an old rail bed
A white light that floats along an abandoned railroad grade in the pines near Gurdon, seen for over a century. The story blames a railroad worker decapitated on the tracks, swinging his lantern still, hunting for his head. Ghost-hunters have filmed it; scientists suspect the distant highway or a fault’s piezoelectric glow. You walk the old bed in the dark to find it, and it has no road and no easy answer.
