Three-toed tracks in forty thousand acres of swamp

The Pearl River swamp on the Mississippi line is one of the least changed wetlands in the country, and since a 1963 sighting by a retired air traffic controller it has had its own creature: seven feet, grey hair, three-toed tracks. Plaster casts of the tracks exist and have been argued over ever since. What is beyond argument is the swamp itself, forty thousand acres of it, and that you should not wander into it without a guide.
